Sukriti Makkar

Sukriti Makkar is a development practitioner with significant expertise in sanitation, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), public health, and environmental sustainability. With over six years of experience, Sukriti has successfully managed large-scale programs with a strategic focus on quality, compliance, and measurable outcomes.
She has collaborated with prominent organizations, including USAID, UNICEF, DFID, and corporate entities such as HDFC CSR and Reckitt Benckiser CSR, contributing to impactful initiatives that align with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her roles have included developing innovative WASH and environmental proposals, conducting periodic project progress assessments, and producing knowledge products to document project achievements.
Sukriti holds a Master's in Development from Azim Premji University, where she actively engaged in social enterprise initiatives. Her fieldwork includes projects in urban waste management and solar park land identification, showcasing her diverse skills in addressing developmental challenges. With a passion for transformative change, Sukriti now brings her expertise to the India Sanitation Coalition as Senior Programme Manager and Deputy Consultant in the Central PMU team.
