Mr. Jayesh Modi joined HSBC in March’05 as Head Portfolio, Factoring and managed the Bank’s Supply Chain & SME factoring business.

In June’07 Mr. Modi took over as Head Priority Initiatives for HSBC India. The unit was set up to meet regulatory target of Priority Sector Lending and aims to develop Rural business strategy such as a) Govt/PSU business, b)e-Governance initiatives, c) Commodity supply chain (e-card),d) Microfinance & Financial Inclusion et al. Now the unit challenge has grown multi fold given the Agriculture and Weaker Section targets.

Prior to joining HSBC, Mr. Modi had worked with HDFC Bank, TATA Finance and Metro Exporters. He has total experience of 30 years varying from business accounting, budgeting, supply chain, priority sector lending & micorfinance.

Mr Modi is an alumnus of Mumbai University and JBIMS.
