About the Position:

India Sanitation Coalition (ISC) is looking for an intern to support the Knowledge Management and Research vertical. The intern will assist in collecting data points, conducting desk research, and building research-backed proposals that address critical needs in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct desk research to gather relevant data and information for proposal development.
2. Collect data points from reliable secondary sources, including research reports, databases, and publications, to support ISC's ongoing projects.
3. Assist in creating and organizing data sets required for research and proposals.
4. Collaborate with ISC's research team to analyze the collected data and generate insights.
5. Support the development of concept notes and draft proposals by providing research-based inputs.
6. Assist in identifying trends, best practices, and opportunities in the WASH sector through literature reviews and data analysis.
7. Prepare summaries and reports based on research findings to inform internal teams and partners.

Skills Required:

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Humanities, development studies, management, or a related field.
2. Research skills, with the ability to extract, organize, and synthesize information from various sources.
3. Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data presentation and report writing.
4. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with team members effectively.
5. Interest in the WASH sector and social development themes.
6. Location: the position offers remote working opportunity.
