Myorpur Gram Panchayat to Become a Model for Waste and Water Management Under LHI Initiative Phase 2

In a significant step towards promoting sustainable waste management practices, the India Sanitation Coalition (ISC) successfully conducted an orientation program for Gram Panchayat (GP) stakeholders in Myorpur, Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh.

 

The program was held in collaboration with Hindalco, ISC's corporate partner.

Through interactive group work, Gram Panchayat Heads gained hands-on experience with effective waste segregation, deepening their understanding of its crucial role in sustainable waste management. This engaging exercise proved highly effective in driving home the importance of proper segregation practices.

 

Mr. Subhasish Chakraborty, CSR representative from HINDALCO Renukoot, delivered insightful remarks, drawing from his experiences with initiatives in Myorpur, Sonbhadra. His presentation showcased the transformative power of corporate-community partnerships in driving meaningful development and positive change. 

The Block Pramukh's address to the stakeholders underscored the vital role that Gram Panchayat stakeholders play in creating a model village. By emphasizing the responsibilities of local leaders, the Block Pramukh encouraged them to drive change and foster sustainable practices within their communities.
