Strengthening Rural Sanitation in Lalpur!

The Orientation Program for the Lighthouse Initiative (LHI) Project in Lalpur Taluka successfully brought together 20 Gram Panchayat stakeholders to explore strategies for transforming Lalpur into a Lighthouse Block!
With expert insights from Nayara Energy (DGM-CSR, Avinash Rawal), the India Sanitation Coalition (ISC), and the Block Development Officer (BDO), the program focused on:
  1. Ensuring villages maintain their ODF status.
  2. Solid & Liquid Waste Management: Implementing best practices for waste segregation, treatment, and disposal.
  3. Menstrual Hygiene Management: Encouraging safe and inclusive hygiene practices.
  4. Community Engagement: Mobilizing communities for inducing and sustaining long-term behavioral change.
The presence and encouragement of esteemed dignitaries like K.R. Chudasama (TDO, Lalpur) and Sumit M. Bhatt (SBM Coordinator, DRDA Jamnagar) inspired stakeholders to work towards ‘Model’ villages through continuous learning and collaboration.
Aligned with SBM Phase II, this initiative ensures no one is left behind in our journey towards a cleaner, healthier, and self-sustaining future!
