The Task Force on Engaging with the Central and State Governments (or the Task Force on Government Engagement) works towards two broad mandates:

  1. Help the various non-government players in sanitation space to create partnerships and dialogue with government

  2. Help the government to scale up their efforts on sanitation by channelizing the power of multiple stakeholders

The Task Force is chaired by PATH India with USAID and Larsen and Toubro as the co-chairs. At the central level we are currently engaging actively with Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation and the contours of engagement with Railways, Skill Development, Ministry of Urban Development and Ministry of Human Resources are being finalised. At the state level we are engaging closely with the government of Rajasthan working through 5 working groups set up with the state departments.
